The System of Official Statistics consists of the responsible producers of official statistics in the Republic of Serbia:

1. Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia;
2. National Bank of Serbia;
3. Other responsible producers of official statistics that produce and disseminate official statistics’ results in accordance with this Law.

The Statitical Office of the Republic of Serbia is the main producer of official statistics in the Republic of Serbia and the main coordinator of all activities related to the development, production and dissemination of official statistics within the System of Official Statistics.

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia represents the System of Official Statistics in the international statistical system.

The National Bank of Serbia is responsible for carrying out official statistics activities defined by the Programme of Statistical Surveys and the Plan for their implementation, in accordance with the regulations governing its mandate, as well as the principles of official statistics and international statistical standards. The National Bank of Serbia establishes standards of official statistics within its area of competence.

Other responsible producers of official statistics are responsible for the development, production and dissemination of official statistics within their respective areas of competence, in accordance with the Programme and the Plan.

Other responsible producers of official statistics carry out official statistics activities in accordance with the principles of official statistics, international standards, and the standards and guidelines established by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.
