Based on population estimates, derived by sex and age, on the relevant processing results of statistics on natural and mechanical population changes, calculated are demographic indicators, important for monitoring and analysing particular processes, such as population ageing, depopulation, etc. By analysing various indicators, such as average age, ageing index, index of population dependency, as well as fertility and mortality rates, enabled is monitoring of demographic changes both on the republic and municipality levels.
