The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia has, on February 27th, 2016, established the Regional Department of Statistics in Novi Pazar, which will encompass the municipalities of Novi Pazar, Sjenica and Tutin.  

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Rasim Ljajic, and Director of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, Miladin Kovačević, opened the new statistical department, the fifteenth one. Mr. Meho Mahmutović, mayor of Novi Pazar, with his associates, attended this ceremony, together with numerous interested citizens and media representatives.
