The cooperation between the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia and Faculty of Economics in Subotica was continued in 2016. In the regional offices of SORS in Novi Sad and Subotica, the professional training of fifteen students of the final years of studies from the study program Agrarian Economics and agrarian business was carried out.

The training involved theoretical and practical sections.

In the first part of the training, the students were introduced with the process of field data collecting, following the example of Agricultural production survey – livestock production.

The second part encompassed presentation of official statistical data production, organization and implementation of statistical surveys, instruments for conducting statistical surveys, SORS databases and searching them, administrative data sources, library fund and archiving of statistical documents and records, everything aimed at better understanding of the importance and proper use of the official statistical data.

In scope of the second part, wanting to present cooperation of SORS with other institutions, organized was the visit to Registers’ Office, Institute of Public Health and Agricultural expert service.

The students were led through professional trainings by: Ergin Kurteši, Zvezdana Dimitrijevic, Ivana Suput, Svetlana Schultz, Milan Travica, Dusanka Žižakić, Vanja Vojsk, Speranca Rotar, Danica Abraham, Dragana Cincovic, Vojislava Misic, Zuzana Lakatos and Danijel Bibic.
