In the period from 27 November to 1 December 2017 the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia organized and was host for the process of Assessment of official statistics – Peer Review.

The process of the Serbian official statistics assessment was led by the team of experts engaged by Eurostat (PR team), that in the course of five days held meetings with the SORS representatives, as well as with the other representatives of the statistical system of the Republic of Serbia.

In this process an active part was taken also by other producers, i.e. users of official statistics (government bodies, media representatives, scientific and academic community, international organizations, and representatives of administrative sources).

The objective of the meetings was to determine the level of alignment with the European Statistics Code of Practice achieved by the SORS, being the major producer and disseminator of official statistics, as well as by the other representatives of the Serbian statistical system.

PR team will render its opinion and expression on the meetings that were held in the Report, which after being adopted will be posted on the Eurostat internet site, as well as on the SORS internet site.
