The second IST Winter School - Metadata-driven data integration concept, Statistical Business Register (SBR) and Data visualization was held at the Majestic Hotel, as well as on the premises of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, from 10th to 14th of February, under the auspices of GOPA Worldwide Consultants.
As was the case last year, school participants from the statistical institutes of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Russia and Serbia had the opportunity to exchange and improve their knowledge and experience in these fields and to attend lectures of distinguished guests from international institutions (GOPA, UNECE, EFTA, ISTAT).
The aim was to show the production of statistics through the use of IST Metadata-driven data integration concept, which is widely used and developed by several statistical institutes in the region, with a focus on the processing, analysis and visualization of Statistical Business Register data. The emphasis was put on practical work, during which the participants of the school were given the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge and to present the results of their work in the final session.
