Representatives of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia at the international workshop "UN Handbook on Surveys of Households and Individuals: From Knowledge to Action"

The workshop brought together members of the Steering Committee and authors of the new edition of the UN Manual for Household and Individual Surveys, representatives of national statistical institutes, regional and international organizations, as well as experts in the field of survey methodology. The workshop aimed to present key technical innovations and innovative approaches from the revised Manual, as well as to exchange national practices, identify training and technical support needs, and develop a framework for long-term integration of the Manual into national statistical systems.

During the workshop, representatives of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia gave presentations on "Survey Management" and "Data Collection", presenting experiences and challenges in organizing and implementing household surveys in the Republic of Serbia.

Through group work and discussions, the participants contributed to defining priority areas for capacity building, as well as developing proposals for activities to support the adoption of the Manual. In order to ensure the successful implementation of new methodological solutions, special emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation, knowledge exchange and sustainable financing.

Various activities are planned for the coming period, including finalizing the publication process of the Handbook, developing training programs, and strengthening the regional network to support national statistical institutions.

By participating in this workshop, SORS continues its active contribution to international cooperation and improving the quality of household surveys, through the application of modern methodological approaches and the exchange of experiences with the partners around the world.
