External trade, September 2025


The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for the period January - September 2025 amounted to:

   - USD 62126.0 million - which was an increase of 11.4% compared to the same period last year;

   - EUR 55668.2 million - which was an increase of 8.5% compared to the same period last year.

The value of exports amounted to USD 27505.7 million, which was 11.8% increase when compared to the same period last year, while the value of imports amounted to USD 34620.3 million, which was 11.1% increase relative to the same period last year.

Expressed in Euros, the value of exports amounted to EUR 24639.7 million, which was 8.9% increase, compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to EUR 31028.5 million, which was 8.2% increase when compared to the same period last year.

The deficit amounted to USD 7114.6 million, which was an increase of 8.3% in relation to the same period last year. The deficit expressed in Euros amounted to 6388.8 million, which was an increase of 5.6% compared to the same period last year.

The export - import ratio equalled 79.4% and was higher if compared to the same period last year when it was 78.9%.

The external trade in the reference period noted the highest level with the counties with which we have signed agreements on free trade. European Union member countries account for 58.2% of total external trade.

Our second major partner refers to the CEFTA countries, since our gained surplus in external trade amounted to USD 2508.6 million, resulting from the exports of cereals and produces thereof, oil and oil derivatives, road vehicles, beverages, medical and pharmaceutical products. Our exports in the referent period amounted to USD 4135.0 million, while the imports were USD 1626.3 million. The export– import ratio equalled 254.3 %. Expressed in Euros, exports amounted to EUR 3696.8 and imports EUR to 1463.6 million (surplus amounted to EUR 2233.2 million and export – import ratio equalled 252.6%).
