Within the project EU4SORS – Development of a Modern Statistical System, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia is organizing the Workshop “Evaluation of Field Work in the Survey on the Needs for Data at Local Level”, which is held from February 3-5, 2026 in Šabac.
The workshop is realized in the scope of the subcomponent Decision-Making Support System at Local Level (DMSS LL), aiming at presenting the first results of the processing of data from the Survey on the Needs for Data at Local Level in economic, social and environmental areas, as well as at exchanging impressions and experiences of the direct participants in the main survey.
During the workshop, the methodologists, IT specialists, controllers and field interviewers, which participated in the DMSS LL survey, analyzed the realization of field work, identified key challenges and good practices, as well as the possibilities to improve methodological and organizational aspects of future surveys at local level. Special focus was on the quality of collected data, the efficiency of field procedures and the role of digital tools in monitoring and controlling field work.
It is expected that the results and conclusions of the workshop will represent an important step in the further development of the decision-making support system at the local level, aimed at providing local self-government units and other users with reliable, timely, and relevant statistical data for evidence-based decision-making.
