External trade, April 2026


The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for January - April 2026 amounted to:

   - USD 30277.2 million - which was an increase of 13.7% compared to the same period last year;

   - EUR 25897.4 million - which was an increase of 3.9% compared to the same period last year.

The value of exports amounted to USD 13774.4 million, which was 18.5% increase when compared to the same period last year, while the value of imports amounted to USD 16502.8 million, which was 10.0% increase relative to the same period last year.

Expressed in Euros, the value of exports amounted to EUR 11784.6 million, which was 8.2% increase, compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to EUR 14112.8 million, which was 0.5% increase when compared to the same period last year.

The deficit amounted to USD 2728.4 million, which was a decrease of 19.1% in relation to the same period last year. The deficit expressed in Euros amounted to 2328.2 million, which was a decrease of 26.1% compared to the same period last year.

The export - import ratio equalled 83.5% and was higher if compared to the same period last year when it was 77.5%.

The external trade in the reference period noted the highest level with the counties with which we have signed agreements on free trade. European Union member countries account for 59.0% of total external trade.

Our second major partner refers to the CEFTA countries, since our gained surplus in external trade amounted to USD 1197.4 million, resulting from the exports of cereals and produces thereof, road vehicles, medical and pharmaceutical products, beverages, electrical machines and apparatus. Our exports in the referent period amounted to USD 1776.3 million, while the imports were USD 578.2 million. The export– import ratio equalled 306.8 %. Expressed in EUR, exports amounted to EUR 1519.5 million and imports to EUR 495.4 million (surplus amounted to EUR 1024.1 million and export – import ratio equalled 306.7%).
